Located in the Inner West this new house project was designed and completed under a Complying Development regime (ie no Council involvement) and is particularly respectful of its local and historical context. With 4 bedrooms, a study and separate living spaces at opposite ends of the house, this design lends itself particularly well to accommodating a variety of functions simultaneously without interfering with each other.
There are a number of pleasant surprises inherent in the design including a large glass skylight, protected from direct sun, over the kitchen positioned in what would otherwise have been the dull south side of the house as well as a shared loft area (with its own view of the city) between the two children’s bedrooms; each having their own “secret” access.
